Vassili Poriotis

Vassili Poriotis has again showed his enormous potential after competing well at the recent ISSI Down Under International Wrestling competition on the Gold Coast.

Competing for Australia against three teams from the USA and one from New Zealand, he again returned with medals.

The International Sports Specialists Incorporated (ISSI) titles have, in the past provided many buddling Lake Illawarra PCYC with a great stepping-stone in their careers.

 Vassili Poriotis who won his three matches against Americans Oscar Quindero and Dan Wolford and Queensland’s Jaskaran Jiijar in the 285lb (106kg) division.

The win tops off a superb year for Poriotis and confirms him as one of the real up-and-coming wrestlers in the heavier divisions.

Shaun Boyle

Shaun has had many chiropractic sessions over the years due to the nature of his chosen sport, with very high g-force pressures being placed on his body. Shaun has been a very happy client of Mahanidis Chiropractic for more than 10 years.

This Wollongong athlete became best performed athlete of the Australian Bobsleigh and Skeleton Association in season 2003.His career highlights include the first ever medal won by an Australian in an F.I.B.T international event, in Germany 2003. The first Australian to qualify for World cup events from 2003 to 2006, and also the first top 20 finish in such an event. He competed in 12 world Cup events overall, 3 World Chamionships as well as many other International races. His final acheivement was becoming the first Australian to qualify for the Winter Olympic Games in Torino, Italy in 2006.

Mile Sterjovski - Australian Socceroo and Perth GLory. Mile is a local Illawarra junior who has been under constant chiropractic care for many years. He regularly continues care when back home in Wollongong visiting family and friends.

Def Leppard - Def Leppard formed in Sheffield in the late 1970s and became one of the biggest-selling rock bands of the '80s on the strength of their Pyromania and Hysteria albums. During their 2008 tour of Australia band members received regular chiropractic care while on tour.
